Assistance is offered in applying for financial aid (Help With Fees) to cover court application fees related to divorce
proceedings.
This includes support with the Divorce Application, defending a Divorce Application, applications concerning
matrimonial finances and the division of assets, as well as any other associated matrimonial proceedings. Please note, this service is only available if you are on a low income and is not the same as
Legal Aid.
Guidance and support are provided in preparing and completing the Divorce Application, responding to the
Acknowledgement of Service Form, and applying for both the Conditional Order (formerly known as Decree Nisi) and the Final Order (formerly Decree Absolute).
Assistance with completingForm D11, which may be used to request service by email, instruct a Bailiff to serve documents, or to apply for the Final Order if twelve months have passed since the Conditional
Order was granted.
